WHY IS SAINT JEANNE DE LESTONNAC SCHOOL CONDUCTING A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN? 

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac High School has experienced exponential growth since opening in 2018.  The campaign will fund the construction of a dedicated High school facility. 

HOW DO I MAKE A PLEDGE TO THE CAMPAIGN? 

All school families, alumni, and friends will receive a campaign packet and pledge card in the mail. You can return the pledge card to the school office or submit your pledge directly here: Pledge. If you have not received a campaign packet, please email GrowingToServe@SJDL.com 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT? 

While gifts of cash and credit card payments are most common, we also welcome other forms of gifts including stocks, crypto currency, vehicles, real estate and planned gifts. Please contact GrowingToServe@SJDL.com with any questions.

ARE NAMING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE? 

Yes. Several commemorative opportunities are available and can be customized in a way that is most meaningful to you. 

HOW MANY CLASSROOM SPACES WILL BE IN THE NEW BUILDING? 

The high school will include 18 studio-learning commons, a STEM Lab, media production studio, fine arts studio, and a culinary arts kitchen. For more information, see page 7 of the case statement

HOW MUCH MONEY HAS BEEN RAISED SO FAR? 

Contributions from the first phase of the capital campaign in 2016 and a sacrificial gift from the Company of Mary total $6.2 million leaving a balance of $8.8 million to raise. Check the campaign thermometer on the school website for updates. 

WHEN DOES THE CAMPAIGN BEGIN? 

Right now! We are inviting all school families to make a prayerful and sacrificial pledge before the end of the 2022 school year. Prior to asking individuals, businesses and foundations outside our school community to support our campaign, it is important that we demonstrate that this project has the full support of our own school families. 

CAN I FULFILL MY CAMPAIGN PLEDGE OVER TIME? 

Achieving our goal will require sacrificial gifts from each member of our school community, In order to facilitate that level of giving, you can spread your payments over three to five years or customize a giving plan that works best for you. 

MY COMPANY HAS A MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM, DOES THAT HELP? 

Absolutely, please ask your employer if they will match your contribution. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 

WILL DONORS AND DONATION AMOUNTS BE PUBLIC? 

Donors can choose whether or not they want to be publicly acknowledged for their contributions.  Donation amounts will remain confidential unless the donor chooses to make it public.   

WHAT IS THE STUDENT CAPACITY OF THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING?

500 students.

WHY ARE WE LAUNCHING A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN NOW? 

We are launching the Growing to Serve campaign to raise $8.8 million. The campaign is intended to coincide with our construction timeline. Pre-construction has begun, and the new high school is scheduled to open in August 2023.  

HOW MUCH WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE? 

Every school family will be asked to consider a specific commitment to the campaign. The amount is an invitation, not an expectation. Please use it as a starting point for your personal discernment. Ultimately, our goal is to invite every family to make an investment that is sacrificial and meaningful to them.

CAN I MAKE A COLLECTIVE GIFT WITH OTHER RELATIVES OR FRIENDS? 

Yes. Pulling individual pledges together with other family members, friends, alumni or business associates is a great way of making a substantial gift to the campaign. 

CAN I GIVE SOMETHING AT A FUTURE DATE? 

Yes. You can make a pledge now and defer your payments until a later date. If you would rather make a pledge in the future, it will be welcomed and greatly appreciated.  

ARE DONATIONS TO THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes, all donations to our capital campaign are tax deductible.
